Reporting an Absence, Late Arrival or Early Dismissal: Please report when your child(ren) will not be in school, will be arriving late, or leaving early. You may do this via the absence line (973-267-6398 option 1) or the genesis parent portal. Please include the reason your child(ren) will be absent, late, or leaving early.
If your child has two or more of the COVID-like symptoms listed below or is feeling ill, please keep them home and contact me for further guidance.
Symptoms: Fever, chills, rigors (shivers), muscle aches, headache, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, congestion, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, loss of taste, or loss of smell.
If anyone in your house is being tested for COVID-19, has been exposed to COVID-19, or tested positive for COVID-19 please keep all members of the house home and contact me for futher guidance.
General Guidelines for All Students:
Immunizations: All students must comply with the NJ immunization standards per the NJDOH. Below is a link regarding required immunizations for K-8 students. A copy of your students' immunization records must be kept on file in my office.
ALLERGIES: All students with a documented allergy requiring an epinephrine auto injector must provide 2 epinephrine autoinjectors and the required paperwork to be kept in the nurse's office for the school year.
Medications: A doctor's note is required for any medication to be given in school (this includes over the counter medications such as Tyleno, Advil etc)
Forms for physicals, sports physicals, medication administration, allergies, and asthma can all be found on my website. Please use the tabs to the left to find the forms your child will need for the school year.
